"CAN 2005" presents a selection of Chinese Artist Network members' works, including internationally acclaimed photographers Han Lei and Meng Jin among other CAN photographers. Through the language of photography their works explore the diversity of the world around us from a variety of unique perspectives.

5th International San Francisco Photographic Exposition
Chinese Artist Network recently exhibited at the Photo San Francisco Expo held at Fort Mason Center in San Francisco July 22 - 25th, 2004. This was the first exhibit of its kind for CAN and an exciting opportunity to participate in an important event and to introduce ourselves to the fine art photography community. CAN board member Abby Chen was interviewed before the opening night reception by KTSF Channel 26 television and there were several write-ups in the Chinese press as well. ( View the TV Interviewc )
The CAN exhibition booth included a selection of framed works by various CAN artists including Han Lei, Wang Ningde and Felix Tian among others. We also had two computer monitors showing a rotating slide show of the wide selection of CAN photographers. We distributed quite a bit of literature about our organization to the many interested people who spent time visiting our booth. We also displayed a collection of recent books that have come out of China including the Humanism in China book that accompanied the recent exhibit in Beijing. We met many interesting collectors, curators, photographers, and galleries at the fair and look forward to participating in similar events in the future. We would like to thank Stephen Cohen Gallery for their generosity in inviting CAN to participate.
